Apostle John Louis Hickman Jr. is the Overseer and Founder of Mountain of Faith International Ministries, a global network of churches and Bible colleges reaching across nations including Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. His ministry carries a divine mandate to empower lives through faith, education, and outreach. With an orphanage in South Africa and multiple Bible Colleges across Africa, Apostle Hickman’s passion for the Gospel is reflected in his dedication to transforming nations through teaching, healing, and service.

An Educator and Leader

Before entering full-time ministry, Apostle Hickman built a distinguished career in education—serving as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent in Texas and Arkansas. After 20 years of public service, he answered God’s call to preach the Gospel and founded The Living Word Faith Center in Houston, Texas, a thriving ministry known for healing and deliverance. A graduate of Jerry Savelle and Kenneth Copeland’s School of World Evangelism, Apostle Hickman blends academic discipline with prophetic revelation, teaching believers how to live by faith and walk in divine authority.

Apostle, Author, and Servant

Consecrated as a Bishop in 2003 and affirmed as an Apostle in 2005, Bishop Hickman continues to mentor pastors and leaders worldwide through The Living Word Fellowship of International Churches. A dynamic preacher, teacher, and author of Let There Be Faith, Firestarters, and Climate Changers, he ministers with passion and prophetic insight that changes lives. Apostle Hickman and his wife, Pastor Sheila A. Hickman, serve together in DeBary, Florida, leading a multi-ethnic, spirit-filled ministry dedicated to faith, family, and global impact.
